TulsaConnect offers Dedicated Server Hosting for customers where a Shared Hosting solution is not appropriate.
A Dedicated Server (sometimes called an outsourced server or managed server) is a server that is leased to a single customer. The server hardware, routing equipment, and network connectivity are monitored and maintained by the service provider (TulsaConnect) while the server software is typically maintained by the customer.
Common situations include:
- High traffic website
- Sensitive customer data that must be specially secured (e.g. banks)
- Need for root/administrative access on the server
- Resellers/Consultants that provide special services to their customers
- Need for clustered/fail-over server configurations
- Desire to outsource the hardware/software maintenance of the server to TulsaConnect
